The Maya Centre is a not-for-profit specialist counselling service run by women for women.
The objectives of the charity are:
1. To provide relief for women who are suffering from mental health problems by means of therapeutic services;
2. To educate the general public on the subject of mental health.
Aims of the charity:
The charity has the general aim of improving the mental health of deprived and marginalised women by providing free individual counselling for up to a year and group therapy for up to two years.
Our vision is that the Maya Centre will be a place of change and growth for women. To achieve this we’ve created a new development plan to play our part in developing a safer, healthier community. For further details please read the executive summary of Maya Centre’s 2014-2019 development plan.
We are located near Archway station in the London Borough of Islington.
Our premises is on the second floor and is not disabled accessible – please let us know if you cannot manage stairs and we will arrange to meet with you at an alternative venue.
