The Maya Centre is looking for women who are interested in our work to become Trustees and oversee the running of our organisation.
We need a variety of skills, but experience in counselling or psychotherapy, or of management, fundraising and PR/media skills in some capacity would be helpful. The role involves contributing to planning, delivery and management of high quality counselling and can include support on clinical quality and performance, fund raising, marketing/PR, finance, management and strategic development.
The time commitment is at evening trustee board and committee meetings at the Maya Centre every month or so. There are opportunities for involvement in projects and events as well.
As volunteers, our Trustees are enormously valuable in supporting the work of the Maya Centre and it is a role where it is possible to make a big difference with a relatively small time commitment.
