Art therapy combines talking therapy with exploring thoughts and feelings through the creative mediums. Verbalising feelings can often be difficult, but the arts can help us make sense of our often difficult feelings. Art therapy is not about being good in art, it is about using the arts and our creativity to better understand ourselves with the guidance of a qualified therapist.
We offer art therapy in both one-to-one and small group settings.
In partnership with MamaSuse, we also offer our 12-week Art Therapy programme designed especially for refugee and asylum-seeking women. Sessions provide a safe space to explore our emotions creatively, share experiences, and strengthen mental wellbeing.
Our Group Art Therapy sessions give women the opportunity to explore personal and shared themes, express difficult emotions, and build social connections in a warm, understanding community. Sometimes it can be easier to create rather than speak, and our experienced art psychotherapist helps guide that process with care and sensitivity.
The current group runs until December 2025. Any future groups will be shared on this page when available.
Our free therapy and free counselling services aim to make emotional support more accessible for women who might not otherwise be able to receive mental health support.
