Menopause: Let’s Talk About It, with Dr Claire Phipps
The Maya Centre has partnered with GP and British Menopause Society (BMS) Menopause Specialist Dr Claire Phipps to deliver a series of four standalone group workshops on navigating the menopause. With the final session planned for 12:30pm – 2:00pm, 14 June, ‘A Second Spring: Journey of the Menopause’ gives a guide on how to spot symptoms, speaking with your GP, the impact and variety of physical and emotional symptoms, the risks and effectiveness of different holistic and medical approaches and how to embrace menopausal changes.
Announcing the Women’s Forum, a Women-For-Women Network
The Women’s Forum will be heralded by a team of volunteer leaders who will guide both the design of our future services and our strategic influencing work. Four annual meetings will provide an opportunity for in-person overviews of discussions and events carried out over the year.
How to Deal with Loss, Grief and Bereavement as a Black Woman
From Monday, 29 January 2024, The Maya Centre will run a series of free loss, grief and bereavement workshops for Black women to explore the diverse circumstances of loss and how to best cope. Whether this loss shows up as the death of a loved one, the end of a significant relationship, unemployment, separation from your home or something else, we are here to support the grieving process.
