A great night had by all at the Free Word Centre, where our fabulous friends at TLC, organised our annual fundraising literary event, on the 25^th November. The night was hosted by our patron Melissa Benn and we had a full house of  supporters & friends. We were treated to readings from writer and actress Eleanor Bron, alongside authors; Diana Evans, Jackie Kay and Ali Smith. With Simon Fanshawe leading the auction, there was laughter and competitive bidding. Great items went under the hammer,  including; Three beautifully bound 1859 volumes of Shakespeare’s works, one hour flying lesson taking off from Elstree arodome and a week in an 14^th century house in the village of La Grasse, Languedoc-Roussillon!
