If you’re a young Black British woman aged 18 to 30 interested in mental health education, this is the opportunity for you!
From Monday 25th July 2022, The Maya Centre will be running a six-week psychoeducation workshop. The course is open to young women aged 18 to 30 and will be devised as a weekly digital drop-in session, 12:30 – 14:30 via zoom. You can join any Monday at this time.
Sign up HERE and/or email melanie@mayacentre.org.uk for joining details and to learn more.
Co-production is a core aspect of the workshop, and we will encourage participants to be active leaders in the development of the course contents and themes. By the end of six weeks, you should be able to:
- Identify issues of importance to your mental wellbeing and mental health.
- Have the psychological language to better understand and explore traumatic experiences.
- Use your voice to self-advocate for your emotional needs.
- Have a greater self-awareness in working and study environments, plus develop the ability to collaborate, create and design wellbeing workshops.
